Shape the Atlantic City founding House.

House of Hundred is seeking a part-time Founding Community Organizer to help develop the founding-member experience, organize early Atlantic City gatherings, welcome prospective members, support community programming, and work directly with the Founder while the first local House is formed.

The role requires strong community judgment, care with privacy, comfort with consent-centered spaces, and the ability to help create a warm, accountable environment for adults 18 and older.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop the founding-member experience.
  • Organize Atlantic City events, orientations, salons, dinners, and education workshops.
  • Welcome prospective members and support clear, respectful communication.
  • Support education and community programming around consent, communication, and safety.
  • Build local relationships with educators, collaborators, venues, and community partners.
  • Assist with curated matchmaking practices as the House model develops.
  • Gather member feedback and translate it into operational improvements.
  • Work directly with the Founder on the first local House.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience supporting community, events, education, hospitality, moderation, or member care.
  • Strong written communication and careful follow-through.
  • Comfort working with adult LGBTQ+ and women-centered community contexts.
  • Ability to protect confidential applicant, member, and community information.
  • Ability to attend Atlantic City events as needed.

Preferred

  • Experience with LGBTQ+ community spaces, women's communities, peer education, or mutual-aid/community organizing.
  • Event planning, facilitation, hospitality, or small-group moderation experience.
  • Consent, trust-and-safety, community education, or conflict-sensitive moderation experience.
  • Experience translating community feedback into practical programs or operating procedures.
